Hello Everyone welcome to Pretty Pink Posh October 2015 Blog Hop!
To begin my first project, I first die-cut the new Storybook 2 dies and used it as a guide to cut my card base. Then I watercolor a separate watercolor color paper for the background, then cut the same size as the storybook 2.
Next, I stamped the boughs image from Wplus9 Holiday Boughs stamp set using the new Hero Arts Ombre Lime to Forever Green. The pine cone from the stamp set was stamped with Wplus9 Coconut Husk Dye Ink.
Next, the sentiment was gold heat embossed and added the die-cut trees from the Wplus9 Heartfelt Holiday. To finish off the card I added some PPP Lime Sorbet sequins.
For my next, card I used the new PPP Mini Tags dies (circle tag) to make my watercolor ornaments.
To begin, I first die-cut the circle die 3 times and I added some watercolored flowers and leaves on them. Of course if you don't want to watercolor them, you can also use some of your small images stamps that you already have on hand, which will work perfectly as well :).
Next, I stamped the sentiment from Wplus9 Christmas Greetings stamp set, which was heat embossed with Liquid Platinum Embossing powder by Ranger.
Next, I splatter the background with gold watercolor paint, let it dry. Then I mark my lines using my pencil at adhered the ornaments with foam tape.
Next, I added some PPP Sparkling Clear for more sparkle. Then added some die-cut bows from the past PPP released Twine and Bow dies to finish off the card.
I hope you guys enjoyed!

ReplyDeleteJoni, love all your cards. Can you please tell us which stamp set you used for the watercolored flowers on the ornaments? Thank you.
ReplyDeleteHi Susie, The watercolor flowers on the ornaments are just hand painted by me. But you can use any type of flower stamps on the circle tags. If you have tiny flowers from Wplus9 like Very Vintage Florals or Fresh Cut Containers would work well. Hope this helps :)
