Hello...hello...Its time for another
Runway Inspired Challenged
This time the photo inspiration is
from
G.O.R.G.E.O.U.S
don't you think?
Let
me show you how I did it.
First,
I want to say please forgive me if my video is shaking this is my very first
video attempt, and I
could not find my tripod and I really want to show you instead of getting shots
of each step process. I
have to hold the video while I paint at the same time....I hope its not too
painful to watch :(
"
Sorry for my daughter, she didn't know I was doing a video."
Nevertheless,
I hope this help gives you an idea on how I did my water-coloring flower image technique :)
My short video...
For this card I used the sentiment from Avery Elle Save the Date.
Oh...the cardstock I used for water-coloring is the one from
Michaels from the Recollections brand. 110lbs. Its OK,
the cardstock is pretty thick it managed to hold my ink together, though got a
little warp but easy fixed :). I just used a score-tape when I adhere on my
card base to minimize the warping.
Here's
the look of the full card.
I made another card using the watercolor technique, I added some
pearls to finish of the card. The sentiment is from PTI Table
Service.
Here's
the look of the full card.
I hope you guys enjoyed my projects :)
For a chance to win

ReplyDeleteBeautiful watercoloring. I'll have to come back soon and watch the video. I have the same watercolor set from Michaels. No excuse for me now not to paint something pretty.
ReplyDeletewow love love love it.. totally gorgeous
ReplyDeleteNow that's impressive, holding the camera, painting, and narrating all at the same time : ) Really, truly gorgeous watercoloring, Joni! It was fun to see how you created this look. The flowers on your second card look so much like poppies! I could see doing several of these once you got going.
ReplyDeletePS, as I was cutting the Recollections 110 lb paper I noticed that my ream is NOT square ... how crazy is that? It was driving me nuts figuring out why my folds were crooked. No matter, I'm just so happy to have that thick paper.
Fabulous cards Joni. Love the technique.
ReplyDeleteLove your water color, Joni, lovely card. If you have ink pads, try using those as well! Have a wonderful Wednesday!

ReplyDeleteFabulous. You make it look so easy! Thanks for sharing this technique (& for not giving up when you lost your tripod...). This has really inspired me today, but I'll have to wait until my son has gone to school so I can 'borrow' his paint set. Jenny
